Join us on a trip to the Dominican Republic in October 2022!
$2000 (Paid in 4 Installments)
Join us October 16 -22 in Puerto Plata, DR
During this trip we’ll be serving The Beco family. The Beco family comes from a very underserved village in the countryside of Puerto Plata, DR. After years of cyclical poverty, they began to gain steady income through jobs in the tourism industry. During the pandemic, their income stream was entirely wiped out due to the lack of tourism in the DR. The Beco family’s home is in need of great repair in order to safely house Martin, his wife, daughter, and granddaughters in tropical weather and from other home safety issues.
The Beco home was built from salvaged materials, with many safety concerns. Our team will spend a few days repairing the electrical wiring, roof, walls, and floors, as well as painting and installing kitchen cabinets.
In addition to repairing the Beco Family Home, we will be delivering a month’s worth of food to many locals in the village and assisting a partner orphanage with upgrades and activities.
Why go on a trip?
Perhaps you’re unsure why you would take time off work, dig into savings or raise funds in order to go on a missions trip when you could just save up your money and time off for your next vacation. Let us present three reasons that might compel you to apply:
You Have Been Commissioned
Going on a mission trip means that you will sacrifice your time, talents, and money to serve others and do so in the name of Jesus Christ. This is arguably one of the highest honors a believer can receive—to be the mouth, hands and feet of the Lord—to be his co-laborer in the Gospel. (Matthew 28:16-20)
The Nations Will Shape Your Perspective
God loves and cares about all nations. This is never more evident than when you step off the plane in another country and see the great need for the Gospel in the eyes of its people. God’s heart is one of compassion, and He sends out his missionaries to be his ambassadors of grace, mercy, and love to the entire world. (Revelation 5:9-10)
There’s a Blessing Waiting On You
The people you are going to visit are individuals who might need the gospel message. They might need some practical help, some encouragement, or some training to effectively care for their people. They could use some blessings from you. (Acts 20:35)
Our Missions Partners
King of Kings in Jerusalem
King of Kings began as a Church in Jerusalem, ministering to Jewish people. Over time, it has grown into a community that is called to be a compelling, Messiah-centered, Spirit-empowered, disciple-making community that reveals the true face of Jesus to Israel and to the nations. They operate a King of Kings network that plants more like-minded churches, creates business initiatives and establishes training centers.
ICF in Tel Aviv
ICF Tel Aviv is a non-denominational church built with the Bible as its foundation. They are a dynamic church that is close to people’s lives and the heart of God. ICF Tel Aviv meets in the heart of downtown Tel Aviv in a bomb shelter, translating their messages from Hebrew into both Russian and English. They minister to people from all backgrounds all across the city of Tel Aviv.
MAP 1040 is an acronym for “Missions Affecting People in the 10/40 Window.” The 10/40 Window refers to those regions of the eastern hemisphere located between 10 and 40 degrees north of the equator, a general area that is purported to have the highest level of socioeconomic challenges and least access to the Christian message and Christian resources on the planet. Pioneered by missionary Luke Walters, Map 1040 works with the underground church, planting new churches in various nations within the 10/40 Window, as well as brings health aid to unreached people groups.
One Child Matters
Through our partnership with One Child Matters, we care for vulnerable children in Haiti. StoryHeights has set up sponsorships for individuals, which will provide clean drinking water, food, education, and all school supplies. Sponsorships are currently closed but will be reopening soon.
We proudly serve Hope Coffee at all of our services and events. We partner with HOPE Coffee and play a vital role in missions projects in Honduras, Mexico and even parts of Africa! The profit from our purchase of coffee from HOPE goes back to the countries that produced the coffee. HOPE Coffee works with local churches in Honduras and Mexico to support clean water, building and repair projects all with one goal to demonstrate in a very real way the love of Jesus to those in need. We also take care of our environment by using all 100% recycled coffee cups and wooden stirrers so that you can enjoy your cup of coffee guilt-free!
