Why Mattapan?

Since starting StoryHeights in 2012, we’ve had our eye on this corner of the city. From various partnerships with organizations in the area to connections through StoryHeights members and congregants Mattapan has always been on our hearts. In 2016 God gave us the vision to open a retail shop in Mattapan Square. We stayed faithful to that vision and our partners in the area. After 5 years of waiting and praying, in Early 2021 the opportunity to open Blessing Barn Mattapan came up, and we took a leap forward in faith! Since opening in April of 2021, we’ve seen incredible favor and blessing from city officials and community members. We’ve helped countless individuals, and are humbled and honored to be a part of the vibrant community in Mattapan.
