Support in Your Grief Journey

Published September 12, 2025

At StoryHeights, we understand that grief is one of life’s hardest journeys. Losing a loved one is deeply personal, and while everyone grieves differently, no one should have to walk through it alone. Our hope is to come alongside you with encouragement, prayer, and practical resources to help you find support and healing.

Grief takes time. Some days may feel harder than others, but you don’t have to face them by yourself. Joining a community of people who understand what you’re going through can bring comfort and strength.

Here are a few local resources in Massachusetts that may help:

The Children’s Room (Arlington, MA)** – Support for grieving children, teens, and families. [childrensroom.org](https://childrensroom.org)

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Bereavement Program (Boston, MA)** – Individual and group grief support. [bidmc.org](https://www.bidmc.org)

Good Shepherd Community Care (Newton, MA)** – Free bereavement support groups for adults, teens, and children. [gscommunitycare.org](https://www.gscommunitycare.org)

Hope Floats Healing & Wellness Center (Kingston, MA)** – Support groups and counseling for those coping with loss. [hopefloatswellness.org](https://www.hopefloatswellness.org)

Faith and Comfort

We believe what Scripture says: *“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit”* (Psalm 34:18).  If you’re walking through grief, know that Jesus welcomes your questions, your tears, and your burdens. He promises rest for the weary and hope for the hurting.

You’re Not Alone

Whether you choose to journal your prayers, connect with a local group, or simply take small steps toward healing, we want you to know you’re not alone. If you’d like to talk or pray with someone from our StoryHeights team, please email us at info@storyheights.com

*StoryHeights is not associated with the resources suggested above.
